How far in advance do I need to book a
party? Please book parties as far in advance as possible
to ensure that you can have your party on the date and time you want. We
suggest booking 4-6 weeks in advance if possible. We will accommodate
shorter timeframes as we are able.
|
 |
Why is a deposit required to book a party and is it refundable if we
change our mind? A signed contract and a $100 non-refundable
deposit are required to secure your party theme for the date and time
you request. The deposit is non-refundable since we will turn away other
business to hold that date for you. We will gladly work with you to
reschedule a party if you need to change the date.
|
 |
Is the birthday child included in the count for the party?
Yes – the birthday child is counted as one of the
8 children.
|
 |
What if a child cannot attend the party at the last minute? Do I
still pay for that child? Is there a maximum number of children that can
attend? Party packages are charged a base price for up
to 8 children; even if you do not have 8 children attend you still pay
the base price for the party. A final headcount of children to attend
the party is due 5 days prior to the party date. Because activities and
party favors will be planned for that total that is the headcount you
will be billed for even if fewer children actually attend the party.
Most party themes can support up to 12 guests. If Kids, Candles
& Giggles is hosting your party and there are more than 12
guests, then a second party host is mandatory and there is a $50
fee for that second party host.

 |
Do the kids get to take anything home?
Some themes include costumes for the kids to wear
during the party, but they do not take these costumes home. We are
unique though in that every party theme includes quality party
favors for your guests as opposed to stickers and candy. Kids,
Candles & Giggles believes your guests should have deluxe party
favors that they can add to their dress-up collection at home so
they can continue the fantasy even when the party is over. Party
favor examples include: hats, jewelry, swords, wands, lip gloss,
etc.

 |
Why is there a $500 security deposit and what happens to that check?
Kids, Candles & Giggles has invested in the very
best props, decorations, costumes and tableware in order to make your
child’s party very special. A $500 security deposit is required prior to
the party. That check is held during the party and returned to you when
all of Kids, Candles & Giggles assets are returned in good condition. If
Kids, Candles & Giggles property is damaged during the party you will be
charged the replacement cost for those items. Please treat our things
gently.
|
 |
What do I do if a child won’t participate in party activities?
Some children may be shy and may prefer to watch
rather than join in some activities. If you have a hosted party, the
host will gently encourage that child to join in the fun or may simply
ask that child if they want to assist her. We cannot guarantee that
every child will participate and we will not pressure them to do so
because we do not want to make the child uncomfortable.
|
 |
What if a child is
misbehaving? The party hostess will be busy leading the children through activities
during the party and cannot be responsible for children that are
misbehaving. The hostess will encourage proper behavior but a parent may
be asked to step in and handle a child that is a problem so the hostess
can continue attending to the other children.
|
 |
Do you accept credit cards?
We do not accept credit cards at this time, but
payment can be made with cash, check or money order. There is a $35
charge for a check returned with Non-Sufficient Funds. Payment must be
made in full before the start of the party.
|
 |
What area do you serve?
We serve the Kansas City metropolitan area. There
is no travel charge for one-way trips within a 25 mile radius of View
High Drive and 470 Highway. There is a $.75/mile for every mile over 25
miles.
